Purpose/Mission

 

The Housing Authority City of Belle Glade (BGHA) was created on July 3, 1947, by the passage of Resolution No. 623 by the City Commission of the City of Belle Glade, Florida and is incorporated under chapter 421.04 of the Florida Statues.

The Housing Authority City of Belle Glade is a public body created to address a shortage of safe or sanitary dwelling accommodations available to persons of low income at rentals they can afford.  The purpose and mission of the Housing Authority is to preserve and increase available safe and sanitary housing to low- and moderate-income families in the City of Belle Glade.
